Harman’s Corner

From Ray Elmitt:

‘Walter Harman was the proprietor of 68 High Street, on the corner of Seymour Road, immediately opposite Sherriff’s house. If you walked down from the station, this was the corner you would turn and get the first glimpse of home. Walter Harman ran the shop from 1905 to 1923 when his son Jesse Walter took over and ran it until it became a Dry Cleaners in WW2.’
